Biomass Power Generation Project

Background

The project adopts a Biowatt 500 biomass gasification power generation system, using pruned roadside wood chips as its primary fuel. Through high-temperature gasification technology, urban green waste is efficiently converted into clean, renewable energy.

The produced syngas powers a high-efficiency gas engine, generating 500kW of renewable electricity supplied to TSMC (Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company). This supports TSMC’s transition toward a greener energy structure and its carbon reduction goals.

By integrating urban biomass utilization with industrial clean power, this project serves as a model for sustainable energy development in Taiwan.
